News:- The W.A.M.M.A. will start to rank female fighters as of this month. In 3 weight classes. This means we may see Gina Carano, Kim Couture, and others fighting again.
- Gina Carano vs. Cyborg fight might happen on April 11th at Strikeforce 17 (Frank Shamrock vs. Nick Diaz), as Strikeforce bought up what was left of EliteFX (following the Kimbo Slice loss).
- Gina Carano (as all EliteFX fighters) is a free-agent and can sign with Strikeforce.
Why: W.A.M.M.A. is slowly becoming the most respected ranking system for MMA (Bodog at second). If the woman's ranking is taken seriously it could spark the big promotions (UFC and Affliction) to add female fighters. Strikeforce is the only major promotion (with a Pay Per View contract) that has woman fighters.
